Into the Wilderness [Part 3] When Pressure Exposes the Heart

Numbers 20:1-13

1) Pressure reveals what is really going on inside us. (vs.1-5)

      • The pressure around you often exposes the condition within you. (Luke 6:23)

2) Spiritual fatigue becomes dangerous when we stop depending on God moment by moment. (vs.6-8)

3) When frustration takes over, we start acting in the flesh and speaking as if we are in charge. (vs.9-11)

      • There are at least 3 problems here:
        -He speaks harshly
        -He misrepresents the source
        -He disobeys a clear command

Galatians 5:19-21

4) God’s holiness must never be downplayed or misrepresented by His people. (vs.12)

5) Yesterday’s faithfulness is not a substitute for today’s surrender.
