Two Examples of Gospel Faithfulness
Philippians 2:19-30
God uses ordinary people with Christlike concern to
do extraordinary things in His Kingdom.
1) Genuine concern for others is Christlike love in action. (vs. 19-24)
- Caring is more than a feeling—it’s showing up for others.
- Ask yourself: Who am I ministering to right now?
Who needs not just my prayer, but my presence?
2) True impact comes when we embrace sacrificial
service and remain unshakable in our calling.
(vs. 25-30)
- Real, dedicated Kingdom service often involves real risk.
- Ask yourself: Am I willing to serve even when it’s inconvenient and costly?
Four results of living with genuine concern for others:
1) You get your eyes off of self.
(
Isaiah 58:10-11)
2) God redeems your pain.
(
2 Corinthians 1:3-4)
3) You’ll be supported when you need it most.
- Church should be the place where concern becomes connection.
4) Encouragement is contagious. Spread it.
(John 13:34-35; Galatians 6:2)
