Philippians [Part 5] Two Examples of Gospel Faithfulness

Two Examples of Gospel Faithfulness

Philippians 2:19-30

God uses ordinary people with Christlike concern to
do extraordinary things in His Kingdom.

1) Genuine concern for others is Christlike love in action. (vs. 19-24)
  • Caring is more than a feeling—it’s showing up for others.
  • Ask yourself: Who am I ministering to right now?
Who needs not just my prayer, but my presence?

2) True impact comes when we embrace sacrificial
service and remain unshakable in our calling.
(vs. 25-30)
  • Real, dedicated Kingdom service often involves real risk.
  • Ask yourself: Am I willing to serve even when it’s inconvenient and costly?
Four results of living with genuine concern for others:
1) You get your eyes off of self.
  • ICBW
(Isaiah 58:10-11)
2) God redeems your pain.
(2 Corinthians 1:3-4)
  • God never wastes a hurt.
3) You’ll be supported when you need it most.
  • Church should be the place where concern becomes connection.

4) Encouragement is contagious. Spread it.
(John 13:34-35; Galatians 6:2)
