Do You Hear What I Hear? (One off)

God speaks through the Bible. (2 Timothy 3:16)

God speaks through gifted teachers and preachers. (1 Thessalonians 2:13; 1 Corinthians 2:13) 

God speaks through impressions. (John 14:26; Job 33:14)

God speaks through the pain. (Proverbs 20:30; Psalm 119:67, 71-72)

Sometimes God speaks through unusual ways. 

What about when God is silent? 

Distraction can prevent us from hearing God's voice.

• Does it agree with the Bible? (Luke 21:33)

• Does it make me more like Christ? (Philippians 2:5)

• Does my church family confirm it? (Proverbs 11:14)

• Is it consistent with how God has shaped me? (Ephesians 2:10)

• Do I sense God's peace about it? (1 Corinthians 14:33; Colossians 3:15)
