Make the Shift [Part 2] Gearing Up


Luke 6:46-49

When you shift to a higher gear, you grow deeper in the Word, shine hope where you live, and lock arms with God’s people—because disciples don’t grow alone.

1) If Scripture doesn’t shape you, culture will…guaranteed.
      • Psalm 1:1-3
      • We are Rooted Biblically moving from drifting opinions to deep roots.
      • 2 Timothy 3:16-17
      • What’s discipling you more this week: your feed or the Scriptures?
      • Roots probably don’t trend, but they do weather storms!
2) Hope isn’t optimism, it’s outcome because Jesus is risen. So we speak hope, serve hope, shine hope in this dark, weary world.
      • Matthew 5:14-16
      • If we are to spread the hope of Jesus, we have to move from private faith to public light.
      • Philippians 2:15
      • A light that hides isn’t humble, it’s useless.
3) Rows inspire; circles transform. God grows us through honest, committed relationships.
      • Hebrews 10:24-25
      • Acts 2:42-47

4) A shift happens when you take a next step. Don’t remain in neutral. Shift out of park and into purpose.
