Mark 2:1-12
1) Desperation doesn’t make excuses; it just makes a way. (vs.1-4; Jude 23a)
2) Faith is measured in what you’re willing to carry, not just what you believe. (vs.3-5; James 2:18, 26)
3) Jesus’ first priority isn’t your situation…it’s your sin. (vs.5-7; Acts 4:11-12)
4) The proof is in the power: Jesus has authority to forgive and to heal. (vs.8-12)
- Some people can’t walk to Jesus on their own, so God sends them friends of faith to carry them
to Jesus! (Galatians 6:2)
3) Jesus’ first priority isn’t your situation…it’s your sin. (vs.5-7; Acts 4:11-12)
4) The proof is in the power: Jesus has authority to forgive and to heal. (vs.8-12)
- We are not spiritual spectators. We are mat-carriers and roof-climbers because Jesus still has power and authority to totally transform lives.
