Count Me In [Part 2] Faith Takes a Step

Biblical faith is trusting God enough to obey Him when we cannot yet see everything that obedience will require or produce.

Hebrews 11:1, 6-10

1) Faith obeys before it sees. (Hebrews 11:1; 1 Corinthians 15:58)

      • We want sight, then trust. God calls for trust, then sight.

2) Faith chooses obedience over comfort. (Hebrews 11:6; James 2:14; James 2:17-18)

3) Faith steps towards God’s calling. (Hebrews 11:8)

      • Every yes requires a no. Every step toward God’s calling is also a step away from something else. (Mark 8:34)
