Cultivating Community

NOTES
Acts 2:42-47
1) We were created for community, to have each other, to
fellowship often, and do life together
2) Christian community is essential to the life of every believer. It’s how we grow spiritually stay accountable, practice the biblical “one anothers”, and care for each other’s needs.
Hebrews 10:24-25; John 13:35; Ephesians 4:32
3) The fruit of Christian community
Genuine fellowship brings a sense of God’s presence that can’t be replicated in isolation.
Radical generosity flows out of a heart transformed by community. Community helps us move from selfishness to sacrificial living.
Joy is a natural outcome of life-giving relationships. True unity isn’t forced, it flows from shared purpose.
A healthy, authentic community is magnetic—it draws others in and leads to growth in the church.
4) The early Christians did not just attend, they attached to this family of believers that we call the Church.
5) What are some practical ways to Cultivate Community
Start small: like the early church, meet in smaller, more intimate settings where deeper connections can happen.
Allow yourself to be known: Real community requires letting others into your life.
The early believers shared meals, possessions, burdens, celebrations, and made many memories together
Commit to accountability: Hebrews 10:24 reminds us that we are called to spur one another on. Growth groups and accountable friendships provide relationships that help us keep our commitments to Christ
