Into the Wilderness [Part 4] Look and Live

Numbers 21:4-9; John 3:14-15

1) Complaining is not a small sin; it reveals a heart at odds with God. (vs.4-5, Philippians 2:14-15)

2) Sin bites deeper than people realize. (vs.6, Romans 6:23)

3) Conviction is mercy when it drives you to confession. (vs.7)

      • One of God’s mercies is that He lets us feel the danger of sin before it finishes harming us. (1 John 1:8-9)

4) God’s rescue must be received by humble faith, not human reason. (vs.8-9)

      • God’s remedy often upends human pride because it leaves no room for. (Isaiah 45:22)

5) Jesus is lifted up as the remedy, so sinners can look on Him with faith and live. (John 3:14-15)
