Into the Wilderness [Part 7] Choose Life

1) God’s Word is clear enough to obey. (vs.11-14)

      • If we are honest, the issue is not that God has been unclear. The issue is that obedience is costly. Forgive. Confess. Repent. Get baptized. Stop lying. End the sinful relationship. Reconcile. Serve. Gather with God’s people. Stop feeding the addiction. Be generous.
      • Some things are not unclear. They are just uncomfortable
      • John 14:15

2) Every life is moving in a direction. (vs.15-18)

      • Nobody stands still spiritually.
      • People don’t usually wreck their faith in one massive decision. They drift there through repeated small choices.
      • You do not drift into holiness. You drift into compromise. Life has to be chosen.
      • Galatians 6:7-8

3) To choose life is to love, listen, and cling to the Lord. (vs.19-20)

      • John 10:10
      • You do not drift into a life with God; you choose it through faith AND surrendered obedience. Trust AND follow.
