1) Prayer is how we fight the urge to give up. (vs.1)

      • Prayer does not mean you’ll never feel like giving up. Prayer is what you do because you feel like giving up.
      • Prayer brings our disappointment, confusion, fear, and exhaustion into the presence of God. (Psalm 13:1-2)

2) We keep on praying because we know that God’s character can be trusted

      • Hebrews 4:16

3) God’s delay is not God’s neglect. (vs.7-8)

    • 2 Corinthians 12:7-10

4) Faithfulness means trusting God without a timeline. (vs.8)

    • 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

P.U.S.H. ...but understand “something” may happen in you before it happens around you.

Application:

Persistent prayer is not merely about getting an answer. It is about remaining connected to God while you wait.
