That's Christmas To Me: Part 3
1. Simeon's dream comes true.
Simeon's dream was that someday he would meet the One whom God sent to be the Savior of Israel.
Are there moments in your life when you know God is speaking to you like Simeon?
2. Simeon speaks words to Mary.
He will raise up those who trust Him, but be a stumbling block to those who oppose Him.
Mary will suffer too.
He could not imagine any privilege greater than seeing the Messiah that God had sent.
3. Seeing Jesus is the ultimate experience.
Simeon basically says, “My life is complete, it’s fulfilled.”
God blessed Anna by allowing her to see the Savior of the world as a tiny, newborn baby. She gave thanks and
spoke about Jesus’ redemption of Jerusalem.
4. Two very important lessons.
Do not be content to go through life without Jesus Christ.
If we do know Christ, we should be content
Conclusion: We need to realize that nothing in life is more important, nothing is more fulfilling, nothing in life can
bring us greater joy, than our relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
