Middle School Fall Retreat

For our MS Fall Retreat, we will be attending "Getaway" at Ozark Christian College. Getaway is a weekend event for middle school students in grades 6-8. Getaway challenges youth to pursue life on mission with God, practice Christian service, and build Christian character at a young age. Getaway also recruits more workers for the harvest field, engaging them in Ozark’s mission to train for Christian service.

WHEN:
September 25th-26th, 2026

WHERE:
Ozark Christian College in Joplin, MO
 
 COST:
- $50 (This covers the event and lodging)
- Students can use their account funds after the $20 deposit.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- We will leave at 1 pm on Friday the 25th. So students will need to get out of school early that day.
- We will be dismissed from the event Saturday the 26th at 4 pm, get dinner shortly after, and then get back on the road to be back at Oakwood by around 9 pm that evening.
- Students will need money for 2 fast food meals on the road (Friday dinner and Saturday dinner). All other meals are covered.
- We will be staying at Christ's Church of Joplin for the night of the 25th. Bringing a camping pad of some sort is encouraged, as we will be sleeping on the floors.
